Birds, Star Wars - The Clone Wars, and life

Lately I have been waking up to a familiar sound. One that I love, especially this time of year. It is the sound of the birds in the morning. I know spring is near when I hear the birds in the morning. Even the other day when there was a little snow on the ground - there was a bird out side my window making noise. I love it. Good signs of things to come.

My kids love Star Wars - The Clone Wars. They will watch whatever episodes over and over. It kills me. Ron will sit down and watch it with them. They will also watch the Star Wars movies. The other day Phoebe informed Ron that she liked the real Star Wars and not the "playdough" one. We got a kick out of that. So if the kids are watching Clone Wars upstairs and Phoebe doesn't feel like watching "playdough" she will go down stairs and watch the "real" Star Wars"

Life had been busy lately. I just finished the Scout Banquet last night. All went well. I did the decorations and they loved them. My friend and I cut out stars and then we hung them from fishing line across the ceiling in the church. That was the biggest hit. I put up a couple of tents and had cut red lanterns as the center pieces with punched out stars. I had to work my other job but I was able to be there for the beginning and the clean-up. All seemed to go great, people enjoyed it, and I loved the stars. Not too hard either. I will keep that one in the back of my head to use again sometime.

My Pictures

Here are my pictures that I entered into the contest. They aren't professional or anything and I wish I knew post production better but here they are. They may look familiar, one is from the Channel Islands (Phoebe), the others are from Ireland. I have cropped them a bit, and tried to boost the color a little. I like them and I am glad I did something so out of the ordinary for me. Here is to more new experiences this year!
