Ahhh The Warmth
I have been spending the last couple of days in St. George. I drove down Monday night and as the sun went down the temperature got higher and higher. It has been 60+ degrees in the afternoon and I have been soaking up the sun anytime I can. I have been golfing most of the time with my friend Gladys. I have enjoyed the time away and feel rejuvinated - ready to tackle lifes little things {my kids - the cold - work}. Gladys--thanks for letting my crash at your place and playing golf with me. It has been a blast!!

La La's
On cold days like today I think about going south either to St. George of Phoenix. I long for the warmth. So to remind me of the warmth of Phoenix for lunch I am having Tacos on La La tortillas. For those of you who do not know what La La's are they are only the best flour tortillas in the world that come in a bag. I am unable to get them in Utah. When we visited our friends Mike and Angie Bristow, in Gilbert AZ, they introduced us to them. I loved them and brought three bags to bring home with us. Now every time they come home for a visit they bring me a couple of bags of La La's. Part of my Christmas present this year from Angie were a couple of bags of La La's. Thank you Angie. I treasure each and every tortilla. BTW - my kids get the Mission or some other brand of tortilla - they just don't appreciate a good tortill yet.

Putting myself Out There
I picked up my pictures from Snelson's Photolab. I am so excited. I am a little ahead of myself. Last month when I was decorating for the Christmas Dance dinner for my cute nephew Matt, my sister gave me a magazine that she had been getting out of the blue. (we still don't know why) It is called Island magazine. She thought I would enjoy it more. I took it home and after a week I thumbed through it. I stopped on a page that had a terrific picture on it, and below it said Photo Contest. I thought about it for a couple of weeks and decided to do it. The deadline is at the end of the month. So this week I have gone through my pictures that I have taken on some islands, I did what little I know how to do in PSElements and then got them printed. I still would like the color boosted more in them - but I still don't know how to do that real well so. I got them back and they look great! I am very excited. Tomorrow I am heading to the post office and sending them in to the contest. I don't know if I will win anything. But I wanted to do something that is out of the box and putting myself out there. This is something I would probably think about doing and just not do it. I am happy with what I have to submit. I will post the pictures later after the deadline. But I wanted to share my joy - I am putting my photos out there to be judged. To bad I can't do my most favorite - it wasn't on an island - it was in a church parking lot. Maybe for another contest.

New Years Resolution
1. Loose weight before my cruise in March.
2. Read the whole Ensign each month (thanks Kenra for that one!)
3. Be a better recorder of family events and my life. - Scrapbooking and Blogging.
So working on number three I am going to try and blog a little better.
This morning as I sit on the computer I see the temperature is 10 degrees outside. I hate winter. Well, I can't say I hate the whole season. I hate cold! I hate being cold. Once I get cold, I have a hard time warming up. My feet are cold right now from taking the kids to school - I don't think they will warm up until I work tonight. I had cold feet most of yesterday too. Maybe I won't have warm feet until spring. Until I go golfing again and I can put my sandals on. I am told that I live in the wrong place. Utah is just too cold in the winter. But then Phoenix would be too hot in the summer. I drink a lot of hot coco which doesn't help me with goal #1. I am just destined to be cold. Cold until the sun comes out and warms the earth to about 60 degrees at least. All though if I go down to St. George right now and the temps are in the 50's my body would think it was down right balmy, 40 degree difference would feel real nice right now.
So if you know me and didn't know that I detest the cold and being cold. You have now learned a new thing about me. If you already knew this - I am sorry you listened to me whine......I am getting some cheese now to go with it. :)
